Bio:I have recently received my paralegal certificate from Arapahoe Community College last December and I did my internship at Springer and Steinberg, PC. Through my coursework, I learned valuable concepts, such as the Rules of Evidence, and valuable skills, such as writing motions and navigating LexisNexis. My internship was a crash course in file management, client relationships, office organization, exhibit preparation and other tasks, however, the most meaningful thing I did while there was to attend a trial for a very serious sexual assault case in which the firm represented the defendant. I organized the trial notebook for that case. Since graduating, I have been fortunate to start working with Juliete Miner and have already been pouring over discovery and talking to clients in her cases in Douglas County. Not to sound trite, but I do genuinely enjoy helping people because the act itself is the reward.
