Bio:Clarissa graduated from Colorado State University-Fort Collins with her Master of Social Work in 2008 and became a licensed clinical social worker in 2017. She spent the last sixteen years of her career working within the criminal justice system at the probation department, including juvenile work, mental health, substance abuse, female offenders, and intensive supervision. Throughout her career at probation, she was able to identify the specific needs of clients and provide individual support to help them navigate the system and set them up for success through guidance and understanding. Clarissa recently joined the contract team at the ADC as a forensic social worker. She is comfortable working with adults and juveniles with any type of allegations, and her strengths include building trust and rapport with clients. Her areas of expertise involve female offenders, substance abuse, trauma, and mental health.
