I have been working in criminal defense since 2017, including over four years at the Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) Arapahoe Trial Division. At the OSPD and in my contracting since, I have provided trial and litigation support for everything from misdemeanor traffic offenses to first-degree murder. That support includes: organizing and labeling discovery, creating organizational tools like timelines, pleading and witness charts, and digital trial notebooks; bookmarking PDFs, video and audio transcription, drafting and filing pleadings, proofreading and cite-checking, record and document review, creating trial presentations, assistance with voir dire, coordinating with witnesses and experts, trial note-taking, and tracking and publishing exhibits. I also have a background in special education and Masters degrees in English and Education.
