Bio:I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and graduate of Point Loma University and Metropolitan State University with degrees in Social Work with a concentration in child welfare. I have worked with children, youth, and families since 2014, both as a child welfare caseworker within El Paso County and as a director of a non-profit agency that provided resources and respite for families at risk of experiencing abuse and neglect. I have worked with numerous types of issues; ranging from domestic violence, homelessness, child abuse and neglect, to juvenile sex offenses, gang-involved youth, truancy, post-adoptive issues, and youth mental health. I also worked as a kinship case manager and completed home studies for family members who were stepping in to be an alternative to foster care for their relatives.I am a Colorado native, Spanish speaker, and mother of two, and I am passionate about advocacy and coming alongside my clients to overcome barriers to their success and assist them in achieving their unique goals. I enjoy tackling complex problems and finding creative solutions and resources while maintaining clear communication and high engagement with my clients. I am also an approved contracted social worker for ORPC and am happy to collaborate on these cases with clients facing both types of court involvement.
