Laura Esqueda

I have decades of experience in the legal field working as both a paralegal and criminal defense investigator and because of my wide range of experience I possess a unique and valuable skillset to aid attorneys in the defense of clients. I am passionate in the pursuit of judicial equality and restorative justice and feel called to utilize my skills in service to the indigent community. I have extensive experience in collecting and reviewing discovery, completing thorough case reviews and summarization, investigating cases to include gathering documents, interviewing witnesses and alleged victims, conducting mitigation oriented investigation, preparing presentations for plea negotiations and for use at sentencing hearing, maintaining excellent relations with clients, family members and judicial staff, organizing case documents, researching and drafting motions pleadings for court, preparing exhibits for trial, coordinating witnesses for trial as well as other basic administrative duties. I am very familiar with court rules and procedures and know what it takes to effectively manage all types of cases, including complex crimes, with a particular affinity for juvenile defense.
