My name is Ashley Stephens and Im currently a 2L at CU law school. Prior to law school, I clerked at the Baltimore Public Defenders office and then worked as a litigation paralegal for a firm in Manhattan. Since starting law school, Ive continued to work in criminal defense by volunteering with the Korey Wise Innocence Project. My time at the Baltimore PDs office showed me the harsh realities of the criminal justice system and reinforced my desire to do whatever I can to make the system more equitable to all. I am well versed in legal research, client interviews, and document production/review and am happy to assist wherever I can.
