Lindsey Sandoval

Lindsey Sandoval is a licensed clinical social worker with twenty years of experience. Her background includes child welfare, parent advocacy, guardian ad litem work, school social work, and defense-based forensic social work. In August 2014, she became the first Juvenile Denver Public Defender social worker, creating the forensic social work role at the Denver Trial Office. Lindsey later joined Alternate Defense Counsel as a contract forensic social worker. Lindsey is a private forensic social worker, field instructor, and supervising clinical consultants for Alternate Defense Counsel contractors. She specializes in criminal defense mitigation, handling numerous direct files and homicides, as well as federal cases in juvenile and adult criminal defense. Lindsey has trained for the National Association for Public Defense, the Office of Child Representative, the Office of Alternate Defense Counsel, and the Juvenile Defender Center. She serves on the board of the Transformative Justice Project, working to end Colorados school-to-prison pipeline.
