Michelle worked with the Office of the State Public Defender in Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln from 2014-2019. She primarily worked with juvenile cases providing mitigation and resources for the juvenile docket, though also worked on over 20 direct file and 35c cases. Currently, Michelle is on a 1 year sabbatical from Cherry Creek School District where she is a school social worker with Laredo Middle School.
