Bio:

During my first year in law school, I obtained the Basic Certificate in Legal Research as well as competed in both the Student Trial Lawyers Association and the Advocates Cup mock trial competitions. Through these experiences, I have developed a passion for litigation that synergizes well with the focus on advocacy that I had developed prior to law school. Advocating for and representing clients that lack resources to effectively advocate for themselves is one of my driving passions, and I intend to further develop that ability through effective legal research and trial advocacy.Prior to law school, I worked as a litigation legal assistant, where I assisted in managing several different types of cases. Typically, I was assigned duties such as redacting medical documents, requesting police reports, and reviewing body cam footage. However, I was also able to start and finish a rear-end collision case with the assistance of an attorney. Additionally, I was assigned to the sexual assault team within the firm, which consisted only of myself, a senior paralegal, and two attorneys. Thus, only one of us four was able to take client calls for intakes and able to communicate with the clients.Additionally, I was employed as a teacher-mentor in Atlanta, Georgia, where I worked with neurodivergent students that did not fit well within the traditional public school model. The unique one-to-one classroom size allowed for breaks from the course material to discuss any personal issues the student might b dealing with.
